LOCKDOWN ALPHABET COMMENTARIES ZINE

Joe Buchanan is a printmaker based in sunny Paekakariki in Aotearoa/New Zealand. In 2020 Joe printed THE LOCKDOWN ALPHABET, a series of typographic prints commenting on the Covid-19 response. THE COMMENTARIES is a letterpress printed booklet containing all 28 prints in smaller size, together with the commentaries that accompanied the original prints.
Joe’s other work includes seaweeds, microalgae (Joe has PhD in marine biology), ferns, fish and other natural history, as well as poetry (in collaboration with Maria McMillan), as well as stickers and other ephemera from social and political campaigns.
