The text is from 'Adamant,' a poem from Maria McMillan's fictional family history poetry book The Rope Walk (Seraph Press, 2013). The poem is inspired by the 'Adamant' a 19th Century immigrant ship that took hundreds of people from England to Australia and New Zealand.

Linocut and typesetting by Joe Buchanan.
